Motodrome offer this low mileage, low owner, 2002 Land Rover Discovery II TD5 GS manual 5-seater, finished in White Gold metallic with anthracite cloth interior trim.
This one has only had 2 owners from new, which we believe to be father and then son on the father’s death. It changed keeper in 2020 and has covered a mere 61000 miles from new. It seems to have led a very easy life compared to most Discovery’s.
Usual GS spec, so electric windows all round, central locking, twin sunroofs, (which we think have been silicon sealed to mitigate the inevitable leaks), ABS, climate control, alloys, stereo, roof rails.
It would have originally been fitted with the troublesome ACE (automatic cornering enhancement) on the rear axle, but this seems to have been removed and it now rides purely on springs and shocks all round.
The original supplying dealer, Three Counties in Stourbridge, made a few extra quid on the dealer-fit extras on this one – it has the soft front A-bar with auxiliary lights, full-length sidesteps, and towpack.
We have the full book pack and 2 keys, and the original service book shows 9 main dealer services at 9292m, 13598m, 27157m, 31881m, 33445m, 36036m, 38802m, 43435m, and 45463m, with a further non-main dealer service at 55045m.
It’s recently been recommissioned following a 5 year period of storage.
Comes with MOT to February 2027, with no advisories, and our usual 6 month warranty on sale
As above, Discovery II’s generally led a pretty hard life and hence are often a bit battered and baggy-feeling when driving. Not this one – there’s no dents or big scratches (I don’t think it’s ever been off-road) and it drives beautifully
