A serious contender for the ultimate usable classic, the W123 generation of Mercedes is a wonderful presentation of the brand in their golden era. Smartly styled, well engineered and incredibly practical, these things tick a lot of boxes, none more so than in estate form. This 1983 comes to market in sought after 280 TE estate form and looks to be an awfully appealing thing. Emerging from long term storage, this low owner car can be seen to hold great potential for someone with a bit of knowhow whose looking for an impressively cool tax and MOT exempt classic daily driver.

Cosmetically the car seems OK, finished in a classic red over black. There are some patches of blemishing and bubbling that could be improved upon as highlighted in the accompanying photos, but it remains a striking car that with a good polish, could really have some vibrance brought back to it - we have had half of the car machine polished to show its potential. It should be noted that the rear windscreen has been replaced with plastic/plexi glass.

We have had the Merc running and driving following longer term storage. Though a good going over and tune up would naturally be beneficial, it currently, starts, runs, drives and stops.
