The Jaguar XJS represents exactly what the brand is all about and on the collector market, stands as a seriously good value bit of kit. A 1986 variant, this 5.3 litre V12 coupe is a lovely old thing, soon to benefit from tax and MOT exemption, making it all the more appealing, and tempting!

Cosmetically the car seems fundamentally well, finished in a classic spec its a striking thing, though limited use and time in storage means there are a few blemishes to be seen and some areas of bubbling that could be improved upon.

We have taken the Jag for a short test drive around our farm and it performed well; running, driving, changing gear and stopping. Though it should be noted that at present some of the gauges aren't operating and there is an ignition fault. We have performed a temporary fix to bypass this but it will need to be investigated by whoever buys the car.
