The cockpit of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce is both sporty and functional...

Original contoured bucket style seats fully re-upholstered in black and piped in red, original Veglia instruments displaying oil and water temperature, fuel gauge, tachometer, oil pressure and speedometer, all chrome finish give the Italian racing flair, push-button radio and heater.

The interior presents in exceptional order, unmarked deep pile red carpets with red bound edges, sound deadening, refinished door cards with all new door furniture, perfect unmarked opaque dash top, contrasting Rosso Alfa dash facia and original simple switches.

The original bakelite black and white steering wheel with chrome horn loop is unmarked.

In the unmarked fully painted boot you will find an original Alfa Romeo ribbed boot floor mat, tool kit and jack.

Exterior

Exquisite, Sporting, and Light Pininfarina Design...

The "sexy" Spider, coachbuilt by Pininfarina, has all the advantages of open top motoring but offers at the same time the dynamic road qualities of the Sprint.

Finished in Alfa Romeo Rosso Alfa (Code 501). The bodywork was subject to an extensive restoration and was completed in early 2012 by Marreyt Classic Cars, Ternat, Belgium.

The paintwork today presents beautifully with a uniform deep shine. Panel fit is excellent with perfect gaps, door closures and flowing rounded lines. The underside is equally as impressive.

Much of the brightwork throughout is original and has been replated or replaced with quality items and looks stunning; all badges present in perfect order.

Excellent Altissimo rear lights and Carello headlights, new black mohair hood and half tonneau cover... Simply stunning throughout

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes

Wheels - The 5 Route Borrani pressed steel wheels have all been fully refurbished, the stainless steel embossed Alfa Romeo hub caps are in perfect order, we also have the original chrome hub caps. Sitting on excellent all-matching Michelin 155 HR 15 XAS classic tyres.

Brakes - Fast or slow, the fully overhauled drum brake system offers a positive and reassuring feel.

Suspension - The uprated Koni Classic Red dampers all round return sporty roadholding and comfort.

Engine & Transmission

The desirable Veloce variant features Alfa Romeo's spirited, free-revving, all alluminium 1.3-litre twin-cam inline-four engine fed by a pair of twin-choke Weber 40DC03 carburettors, 90 BHP at 6000 RPM, and 112 MPH. The sporty Veloce model offers 10 BHP more over the standard Giulietta Spider.

On the road, she cannot fail to impress. Very lively, spirited acceleration, the clutch is light in operation, the 4 forward gears select with ease, although it's worth noting it can very occasionally pop out of reverse, and eagerly starts from hot or cold.

The Alfa's raspy exhaust note and sweet Weber throat music... Magical

The history file records that this gorgeous, rare and genuine Giulietta Spider Veloce, Tipo: 10107 - Chassis: AR 1495.09854 - Engine: AR 1315.31956 was manufactured in Italy on 23rd May 1960 and sold on 22nd June 1960 to Hoffman Motor Car Co., New York, USA. Official documents from both Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and Automobilismo Storico Alfa Romeo Centro Documentazione support this.

Fully restored by Marreyt Classic Cars, Ternat, Belgium, to concours standard throughout and completed in early 2012 before being registered in the UK on 9th February 2012.

A three previous owner car whilst in the UK, the last custodian cherished this gorgeous Giulietta for 10 years. Cherished number plate UUI 21 is also included in the sale.

Today this Alfa Romeo Owners Club (AROC) concours winning Giulietta Spider Veloce presents in sublime order throughout, including the fully detailed engine, engine bay and underside.

A major, extensive service has just been completed and for peace of mind, a fresh 12-month MOT will be completed upon sale. This Giulietta is of course HPi clear with a certificate included.

Taxation Class: Historic Vehicle - Zero road tax and MOT exempt. ULEZ exempt. HPi clear with certificate included.

This is a concours winning example of the very rare Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce. Only 2,796 Factory Veloce versions were ever manufactured for global sales over its production run (1954–1965). The Veloce model accounted for just 15% of total Giulietta Spider production, making this 1960 model an exceptionally rare, highly sought-after and collectable Alfa Romeo.
