A marvellous presentation of post war Standard, the Eight saloon is a thoroughly charming little car, and this 1955 Eight Super Saloon is no exception.

Running and driving and finished in a delightful colour scheme, OAS 993 can be seen as a great way into classic motoring, with a good value iconic saloon car that can be used and improved upon to the new owners content. Also benefitting from tax, MOT and ULEZ exemption.

Its certainly a striking example of the breed, finished in a bright electric blue with complementing white wheels. The paint and body look fundamentally well throughout. There are a few general blemishes and flaws to the panels in places but we feel it remains a real head turner in its current form. The interior, like the rest of the car presents as generally OK but could perhaps be improved upon depending on how far you would like to take the car.

Mechanically the little Standard seems OK. It fires into life and we have taken it for a short test drive around our farm, where it ran, drove, changed gear and stopped. It has however seen limited use recently and so we would advised a general going over before a return to the road.
