EXTERIOR
With 50 years since launch, Volkswagen’s iconic Polo needs little introduction, and the name remains today in the current incarnation of this ever-favourite supermini. This astonishing Third Generation 6N variant has covered just 16,231 miles from new with one lady owner. Finished in factory optional Bright Green Pearl Effect, (Code LC6M), the paintwork has a deep shine and boasts largely blemish free uniform finish with little more than a few very light markings and carefully touched in stone chips. The body panels are exceptionally straight with linear gaps and one miniscule ding to the nearside rear door is barely noticeable. Supplying dealer number plates as well as front and rear screen stickers remain fitted. The flush fitting glass has the VW logo and the light clusters are crystal clear with a tiny hairline crack to the nearside rear cluster. The underside and wheelarch apertures are fabulously clean having been garaged stored from new with minimal use. Physical inspection is recommended to fully appreciate just how clean this ultra-low mileage example is.

INTERIOR
An interior worthy of the accolade time-warp. The seats upholstered in Off-Black Schwarz, (Code EK), are spotlessly clean and display virtually no wear aside from some very slight fading to the driver’s seat upper outer bolster. Matching colour scheme door cards are fully intact with no shrinkage and the headlining is perfect. The conscientious one and only owner specified genuine VW carpet mats to be fitted front new protecting all carpets. Lifting the boot floor reveals the unused space saver spare wheel, jack and brace as well as the factory build label and supplying dealer PDI sticker. The dashboard is pristine, and all functions, displays and audio operate seamlessly. Having covered just 16,231 miles from new and with legendary VW build quality, this retro Polo retains the new car feel experienced by the first and only owner in 1998!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the 1.4 litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 60bhp. Having covered mileage many cars would have the first year and yet benefitting from 19 service stamps, the car runs, drives, and performs exceptionally. The engine bay is superbly clean with factory plates and labels intact. The factory optional 4-speed automatic transmission performs impeccably and offers effortless retro motoring.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 13-inch steel wheels show only very light markings and the centre caps retain immaculate VW badges. Brand new premium Uniroyal RainExpert3 tyres of size 175/65 R13 were fitted in May 2026 and have covered zero miles. The diagonally split, servo assisted brakes with load sensitive pressure regulator stop the car quickly and benefit from a full overhaul in May 2026.

HISTORY FILE
Registered new on the 6th August 1998, the supplying Volkswagen Main Dealer was MCS Medway in Gillingham. This stunning Polo was supplied to Mrs Disley who has been the sole owner from new, and the car has covered a verified 16,231 miles. The vehicle was purchased upon retirement and despite the exceptionally low mileage, there are 19 service stamps, the majority of which are from the supplying dealership and the same independent specialist. In May 2026, the car benefitted from a major service, timing belt and auxiliary belt, full brake overhaul, exhaust and fuel system overhaul along with other maintenance. Receipts, invoices and service book entry accompany the recent work carried out and all handbooks are present, as are both sets of keys plus the master blade and code tags. A Volkswagen keyring and sales brochures, price lists from 1998 complete the history file. An exceptional and very rare survivor in every aspect and a likely Festival of the Unexceptional contender!
