The second generation W126 Mercedes S Class is quickly becoming a rather collectible thing, often regarded as one of the best engineered cars of all time, it does a marvellous job of mixing modern luxury and usability with the classic Mercedes style we all know and love. This 1989 car is a nice example of the coveted 420SE coming from longer term enthusiast ownership it can be considered a fundamentally good presentation of the breed in a desirable specification,

Cosmetically the car looks quite well. Finished in a timeless dark grey with contrasting lower sections and trim it certainly has some presence. Though generally good overall, there are a few age related marks and blemishes commensurate with age and some light bubbling patches beginning to make themselves known in places. The interior looks to be in fine well preserved order.

Mechanically the Mercedes seems to be in good form. We have taken it for a short test drive around our farm and it performed very nicely; starting, running, driving and stopping.
