Perhaps one of the most iconic hot hatches of all time, the MK2 Golf GTi is a true legend and cult classic. This later big bumper car is particularly special, having been with the same owner since new. Now being offered to market for the first time outside of its original purchase, A1 VMH can be seen to hold great potential for the avid VW/hot hatch enthusiast. Opportunities to acquire highly original one owner GTis are seldom making this car one to jump on.

Cosmetically the car looks fundamentally well. Finished in the lesser seen dark blue colour scheme with original BBS alloy wheels and the sought after bigger bumpers only found on the later cars. There are naturally some general marks and some blemishing commensurate with age however. Inside looks to be OK though the headlining is missing.

Mechanically the car is being sold as a non runner. We have had the car turning over but now suspect the starter is faulty so have not delved any further into the engine. We have been informed the car may need some welding underneath before a full return to the road though we have not done any inspections ourselves. Interested parties should note the car was subject to a Cat C write off in the early 2000s when these cars had little residual value.
