Offered to market here is a truly fine example of what is possibly the greatest Volvo of all time, and surely one of the most iconic cars of the era, largely thanks to some on screen time with Roger Moore. This 1972 P1800 magazine feature car is an older restoration, well preserved and nicely presented throughout, following long term ownership with a classic car concours show judge. Benefitting from the fitment of the arguably more reliable carb setup this could be seen as a great usable classic ideal for the upcoming show season.

Cosmetically the car looks rather well. Finished in the classic white over red colour scheme akin to the iconic Saint TV car. The bodywork itself presents nicely and highlights very little in terms of wear, tear or age related marking. The same can be said of the interior which remains a nice place to be. The pull back rag top roof is well and unlatches and operates with ease.

Mechanically the Volvo is seen to be in good order. The engine bay looks especially clean and the four cylinder unit benefits from the fitment of carbs rather than the more temperamental injection system. We have taken the car for a short test drive around our farm and it performed nicely, starting running, driving and stopping.
