With iconic styling, classic Mercedes engineering and reliability, these cars make great usable classics and have become quite the hot commodity on the collector market. This 1971 car is a charming example of the model that could provide an exciting opportunity to acquire a running driving light project for the upcoming spring and summer months, that once finished to the new owners preferences will result in a delightful, tax and MOT exempt classic Mercedes.

Cosmetically the car can be considered fundamentally OK. It's a striking thing as is with some general marks and blemishes one would expect from a car of this age. The same can be said of the interior which shows signs of age and limited use.

Mechanically the Mercedes seems OK. We have taken it for a short test drive around our farm and it performed nicely; starting, running and driving. Though it should be noted that the brakes will need attention as they sometimes need a few pumps before becoming effective. Having seen limited use recently a general going over would likely be beneficial.
