The Ford Capri is a car that needs little introduction. A legend in Ford and enthusiast circles and often regarded as “the car you always wanted”.

Offered to market here is an exceptionally early example of a 2.8 injection car with a rare 4 speed manual transmission. Running and driving it’s arguably got some great potential and is the sort of car that deserves to be recommissioned, and benefits from tax and MOT exemption.

As the accompanying photos will show, the car is going to need some love cosmetically. There are signs of corrosion, blemishing and previous repair, but thankfully parts are readily available and there is a wealth of enthusiast support and knowledge for these cars. Inside shows signs of wear and tear commensurate with age.

We have had the car running and driving. It performed OK during our short test drive; starting, moving, changing gear and stopping, however we would advise a good going over before a full return to the road.
