Praised for their looks and performance on the road, the Jaguar MK2 has long been the popular choice for those looking for a usable stylish and thoroughly iconic classic saloon car, with the later rebranded 240 and 340 cars offering a great value way into the model with more refinement than the earlier cars. This 1968 240 is one such car, benefitting from the classic 2.4 litre engine and manual transmission combination.

The car appears fundamentally well from an aesthetic perspective, finished a fitting dark green throughout. Generally presentable and striking in its current form, there are some areas of blemishing and light bubbling beginning to make themselves known in some smaller areas of the bodywork. The interior looks to be in very smart order and remains a lovely place to be.

Mechanically the Jag seems to be in generally good overall shape, with us having had it running and driving for a short test drive around our farm. It should be noted that the car has been used sparingly in recent years and so alongside some tweaks to the tracking, we feel the brakes will need some light adjustments before a return to the road.
