The Ford Fiesta has long been a favourite amongst collectors and enthusiasts of the brand. With the iconic "hot" versions of the MK1 & 2 Fiestas making incredibly strong money, cars like this 1989 car can be seen to provide the desirable classic fast Ford aesthetic without the hefty price tag to go along with it.

A 1989 1.1, this MK2 Fiesta has been tastefully modified to be more in keeping with its faster alternatives, boasting pepperpot wheels, auxiliary spot lights and period graphics. Having been off the road for an extended period of time, it now wants for some general TLC and cosmetic improvements to bring it back to life.

The car is finished in a vibrant red throughout and can be considered OK from an aesthetic perspective. Whilst presentable from a distance, closer inspection reveals bubbling, corrosion and blemishing that would need to be rectified to bring the car back up to standard. The interior presents nicely, remaining largely original with the to be expected wear and tear commensurate with age.

Mechanically the car seems OK. We have taken it for short test drive around our farm where it performed fairly; starting, running and stopping, however following very limited use a general going over is advised before a return to the road.
