Description

The Peugeot 205 GTi has long been recognised as one of the all time great, if not the best, 1980s hot hatchback. Praised for their dynamic capability and styling, they've long been a favourite amongst collectors or those looking for some nostalgic motoring fun. The car offered for sale here is a 1989 1.6 variant. Running and driving in fundamentally presentable and usable form, it could make an exciting entry into classic hot hatch ownership.

Cosmetically the car looks to be OK and in highly original form. The white paintwork is largely presentable with a few areas of blemishing/blistering/bubbling making themselves known in places as to be expected with a car of this age along with some general wear and tear to the trim. It retains its pepper pot style alloy wheels and working manual slide sunroof. Inside appears generally well, with an aftermarket head unit on offer. There is some wear/misshaping to the front seat bolsters though it doesn't look to have tarnished the upholstery.

Mechanically the little Peugeot seems in good shape. We have taken it for a short test drive around our farm and it performed nicely; starting, running, driving and stopping. Though following limited use in recent years, a general going over may be advised.
