A thoroughly rare and exciting opportunity to acquire a striking example of an esteemed pre war Bedford truck. The Bedford W series was the first of its kind to be built entirely by Bedford, making it a significant part of the marques impressive history.

The example we have here today is understood to be a 1934 W Series, fitted with the upgraded and more desirable 28hp engine. The previous owner informs us that they have comprehensively recommissioned the truck with replacement wood paint and ancillaries. It has also just had a new clutch fitted. For the avid commercial vehicle enthusiast this Bedford makes an ideal candidate for preservation seemingly just wanting for a general tune up to get it running perfectly, likely a very simple job for someone in the know.

Aesthetically the truck looks to be in smart order. It has been finished in a two tone black and cream colourway, it can be considered presentable throughout with some marking and blemishing to be expected of a heritage commercial vehicle. The interior is in similar form and comes with a carpet cut out for the cab floor.

Mechanically the Bedford is OK. As stated a new clutch has been fitted and in our time with the truck we have had it starting, running, moving and stopping. However likely due to limited use, a good tune up looks to be needed to get it running at is best and prior to a return to the road.
