In the mid 2000s the Renault motorsport division was thriving and the performance derived road cars that resulted were nothing short of excellent. One of the finest and rarest of them all was the Megane RS 225 Trophy, a limited run sports variant of the second generation Megane with some serious sporting pedigree, boasting enhanced styling and as the name suggests 225bhp from its 2.0 litre turbocharged engine. Just 500 were made worldwide with just a small fraction making their way to UK dealers in RHD form, making them one of the rarest and most sought after fast Renaults of the modern era.

A great performer firmly in its "modern classic" era this 2005 225 Trophy is one of the small number of RHD examples, plated as car number 446. Generally well presented throughout, it is a rare sight offered on the open market and one that could be considered to have great investment potential or to be used as a fun, rare modern classic hot hatch.

Finished in Nimbus Grey with anthracite 18" wheels its definitely a striking car. It can be considered cosmetically well, generally nicely presented with the to be expected blemishes and age related marking for a 21 year old car. There is a small area of blemishing visible around the driver's side rear bumper corner however this will be repaired prior to sale.

The interior is in generally good form and remains a nice place to be, with the main point to note being some light sagging to the rear of the headliner as is common.

Mechanically the Renault appears in good shape, benefitting from a long advisory free MOT until December 2026. We have taken it for a short test drive around our farm and it performed nicely;' starting, driving and stopping.
