A remarkable Skoda Favorit LXiE Flairline with just 21,812 miles from new.

EXTERIOR
This astonishing surviving Skoda Favorit has covered just 21,812 miles from new and boasts added rarity of being the Flairline Edition styled by Bertone Studio in Turin. This example is finished in factory original and deliciously period Caribbean Green, (Code 5280). The uniform paint finish is stunning with a deep polished shine throughout, and all body panels are pin straight with no dings. There are no scuffs or evidence of body repair and nothing other than a few light blemishes can be seen on close inspection. The clean underside with perfect structural integrity even boasts original labels to components such as the rear axle. All trim is fully intact, as are the glass and headlamps which are etched with the registration. Supplying Skoda main dealer number plates and rear screen sticker remain fitted, as do the optional Gold Flairline Decals. A very rare find in such preserved condition.

INTERIOR
Being a post 1991 Favorit, the year in which Skoda entered the joint-venture partnership with Volkswagen, this example benefits from positive revisions to the interior in addition to improvements to exterior build quality, styling and safety. Volkswagen anatomically seats, dashboard components and instruments were incorporated. This LXiE variant features fashionable hard-wearing cloth upholstery whereby all interior furnishings, door cards, carpets and headlining are beautifully clean and preserved in line with the low mileage. Lavished with many optional Flairline Features, the equipment and controls operate perfectly including the optional Blaupunkt Boston CC22 stereo. The luggage area is spotless with perfect parcel shelf and underneath the plywood boot floor cover is the spare wheel, jack and original tool roll. Perfect modern classic family motoring for those who desire something a bit different and with 1038 litres of boot space with the seats folded down!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The front mounted four-cylinder engine was a significant departure from Skoda’s traditional rear mounted engine fitted to the Favorit’s predecessors, the Estelle and Rapid range. The lightweight aluminium 1289cc unit features Bosch Mono Motronic fuel injection and produces 54bhp and 94Nm of torque to achieve a top speed of 93mph and 0-62mph in 15 seconds. The engine bay is spotlessly clean with factory plates, chassis number stamp, PDI dabs and stickers all present and undamaged. Incredibly even the paint code label remains attached to the bulkhead which is virtually unheard of! Likewise, the common areas prone to water retention and corrosion are absolutely perfect in structure. The sturdy 5-speed gearbox is superb in operation.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Optional 5-spoke alloy wheels present very well and still wear the original Skoda centre caps. There is no kerb damage to the rims but a few light marks and faint crazing to the finish is visible. Matching premium Uniroyal 165/70 R13 tyres retain masses of tread having covered approximately 1,000 miles. The servo assisted braking system performs perfectly having undergone full overhaul in January 2026 to include new servo, front callipers, discs and pads and rear cylinders.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Skoda Main Dealer, Trinity Motors of Smethwick, the car was registered on the 31st January 1995 to a Mr Clarke. The Favorit was voted Best Budget Car of the Year 1991 by Whatcar? This car has covered just 21,812 miles from new fully verified with extensive MOT records. The original Skoda document wallet holds all handbooks, guides and dealership literature including the service book. A major service was carried out in January 2026 including all oils, filters, and fluids with supporting service book stamp and invoices filed in the history folder.
