Description

The “1500” model was built from 1938 to 1956. Fitted with a Singer SOHC engine and gearbox. Production of the bodies were by REALL, then Automarine and St Leonards Engineering Co. All bodies, except one, with inside fuel tanks. Several sold in chassis form and bodied to customers’ designs, Just 112 examples were produced. Chassis W96 was delivered new in Black with Red leather and optioned with the rare twin spare wheel fitting, First registered on the 1st of Janaury 1947 with the Worcestershire registration number FNP 777, the first owner was Ken Delingpole of the Dellow Motors fame. In Jan 1949 the car was sold to C.H Stephenson of Stratford-on-Avon and then A.M Sutton of Dartmouth in June 1951. In November 1955 FNP 777 was sold via Richards & Carr Ltd of Sloan Square to Michael Roberts of Trident Garage fame with just 9,400 recorded miles. In 2008 with just 50,495 miles FNP 777 was purchased by Matthew Eade of Nutley Sports & Prestige directly from the Roberts family with a recorded 50,495 miles.
