1979 VW T2 Westfalia Camper – Sierra Beige – Extensive Restoration – New Engine

For sale is my 1979 VW T2 Westfalia camper finished in a beautiful Sierra Beige, featuring the desirable side pop-up roof and classic Westfalia layout. This van has benefited from considerable restoration both inside and out, along with major mechanical work, making it a very solid, usable classic.

Interior

The interior has been completely stripped back and rebuilt with care:
• Fully stripped to bare shell, resprayed, soundproofed, insulated, boarded and vinyl tiled
• New door and panel cards fitted
• Headlinings all intact and in excellent condition
• Pop-up roof is leak-free with replaced headlinings
• Sleeping area forms a comfortable double bed with mattress pad
• Rock and roll bed operates perfectly
• Original-style cupboards and worktop rebuilt to original Westfalia design
• Working gas cooker and grill (camping gas)
• Stainless steel sink
• Space for a fridge if desired
• Currently no water tank fitted, but original tank is available.
• All seats are original and in good condition
• Complete set of original curtains

Exterior
• Fully stripped back to bare metal
• Repaired with a combination of welding and fibreglass where required
• Professionally resprayed in an authentic 1970s colour palette

• All door and hatch rubbers replaced

• Brand new 1600cc engine fitted and properly run in (approx. 1,200 miles)
• Weber twin carburettor
• Electronic ignition
• Oil temperature sensor fitted
• Steering, suspension, gearbox, and brakes serviced, refurbished or replaced
• Underside repaired as necessary and fully wax-oiled
• Cab floor panels are all solid
