EXTERIOR

Finished in one of four colours available at the time, (Milano Red – Code R81), the paintwork is simply stunning. A bright uniform shine to the pin straight bodywork will please an individual wanting a preserved, unspoilt and factory correct example. A number of touched in frontal stone chips are visible and all wheel arch apertures and door shuts are spotlessly clean. All bumpers, spoilers, trim and badges are intact and in excellent condition, as are the light clusters which remain clear with none of the common plastic fatigue. INTERIOR
The brilliant body-hugging Type-R racing Alcantara seats, (Code SMT 8), are in excellent order with firm wear free bolsters and none of the common bobbling to the Alcantara fabric. Huge wings to the front seats, red seat panel inserts and Type R embossment are a less than subtle reminder that this really is no ordinary Civic! The carpets have been protected from new by genuine Tyre R embossed floor mats and the matching door cards are in excellent order. The futuristic fascia and trim are immaculate and all functions, controls and head-up displays are perfect in operation along with the ice-cold dual climate control. The small plaque on the centre console informs you that the car is build number R-19625. The boot area is pristine and has the original puncture repair equipment and toolkit.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Little introduction is needed for the engineering wonderment that is Honda’s legendary naturally aspirated engines and their phenomenal capabilities, and the chain driven K20Z4 i-VTEC in this FN2 Civic remains in factory standard form. From just a 2.0 litre powerplant, Honda engineers have developed an incredible 198bhp with the VTEC system engaging at 5400rpm and maximum power output at an awesome 8200rpm! A top speed of 146mph along with 0-62mph in just 6.6 seconds is enough to embarrass many a performance car with much larger six-cylinder engines. The engine bay is spotless and exactly as Honda intended with all factory stickers and plates intact as well as the bright red crackle finish cam cover suffering none of the common flaking affecting many examples. The slick 6-speed manual short-throw gearbox allow rapid slingshot gear changes.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Standard 18in alloy wheels are very good condition with no kerb markings and only light scratches. The Honda centre caps are in superb order. Matching premium brand Bridgestone Potenza 225/40R18 tyres are fitted all-round with excellent tread. The sophisticated braking system features ABS with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and emergency brake assist and the correct silver Type R callipers are clearly visible through the huge spoke apertures, all spotless.

HISTORY FILE
Manufactured in Swindon, England build number R-19625 was first registered on 30th April 2009. Supplied as a UK car by Main Dealer, Stratstone Honda in Doncaster, this example has covered just 48,553 miles from new in the hands of just two former owners. The previous mature owner purchased the car in 2014 as a Honda Approved Used Car from Mansfield Honda and has cherished the car for the last ten years, always garaged.

The comprehensive service history consists of the original service book with 13 evidenced services, 11 of which were Honda Main Dealer. In July 2024 a full service was carried out by a performance car specialist. All handbooks, manuals and dealership point of sale literature are included in the leather document wallet and there are two original Honda remote keys with code tags and supplying dealer leather fobs. A further large history folder contains corresponding service invoices and MOT certificates. Completing the history file is an original Honda Type R range brochure, price list and options brochure.
