Engine & Transmission

The iconic design of the Morgan 3 Wheeler has been updated with 21st Century technology. The power train is an American built S&S X-Wedge 1989cc V-twin fuel-injected polished engine mated to a Mazda 5 speed (and reverse) gearbox. This provides smooth “get in and drive” feel with the thrill of extreme performance.

On the road she performs strongly with a unique bark from the Brooklands twin fishtail exhaust system. Gear selection and clutch are smooth and precise. Starting from hot or cold is effortless and she idles with a low detonating note...

The 2014 Morgan 3 Wheeler had a comprehensive review of the vehicle’s characteristics, resulting in some important updates in driving and safety –

Bevel box – isolated to improve overall noise vibration harshness (NVH)

Only 50 of the Brooklands Edition 3 Wheeler vehicles were built. The stunning example we have today is car number 16 of 50. Registered new 17th April 2014 by Ledgerwood Morgan, Ross Lane, Winterton, Scunthorpe and only having had 4 previous keepers.

The history file contains Morgan service history, every past MOT certificate proving the very low 7065 miles, embroidered Morgan document wallet with owners handbooks, optional Morgan build leather bound and boxed photobook costing £175, 2 original keys, plus various invoices and receipts for servicing, maintenance, and parts.

Brooklands, the brainchild of Hugh Locke-King, opened on 17 June 1907 as the first purpose-built banked motor race circuit in the world.

In the few years leading up to the outbreak of war in 1914, Morgans had secured 10 British and World Records for various classes of cyclecars, won 24 Gold Medals in major reliability trials and had achieved numerous victories on the race track.
