SOLD - 1983 Porsche 911 SC 3.0 Carrera Sport Cabriolet
Vehicle Specifics
Description
We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning RHD 911 3.0 Carrera Sport (911 SC) Cabriolet Sport with 5-speed manual transmission.
First registered 06/1983 – Y registration (genuine UK supplied vehicle). Finished in black with red and black leather interior. Currently showing 89,000 miles.
This 911 is one of my own vehicles, I purchased it in 2019, having looked high and low for a pristine Cabrio to add to my collection (I’m a big fan of the G series and have owned several). With the knowledge I built up I was able to find the best car on the market (took around a year). Always garaged and covered under 2000 miles during my ownership.
A bit of a story and some history about 911 SC models, the Cabrio version was in fact the first convertible since the 356SC model back in the 60s. Porsche build the Cabrio SC model for 1 year only in 1983 (apparently only 4,214 sold globally). Making these quite a rarity!
The engine & gearbox are both dry, no leaks whatsoever and the body shell presents in superb order with sills, kidney bowls and the usual areas prone to issue checked for reassurance.
Please see detailed photos on our website and videos. We also have a ramp in house and welcome any inspection.
As mentioned I have owned several and still own a few and sold a number of these (I have a soft spot for the G series), this car is set up well and drives superbly. It pulls great, sounds fantastic (fitted with a Dansk sports exhaust) and shifts smoothly.
The convertible roof is in very good condition (original), the rear window is also in very condition. Included is the original tonneau cover.
Every feature on this 911 works as it should, from the electric windows to lighter.
An exceptional and unmolested and original example presented in very good condition throughout. Original service book, supporting invoices, historical MOT’s (a whole box of docs).
Goes without saying that this 911 is HPI clear and will be supplied with a fresh 12-month MOT.
Specification includes:
• 16″ Fuch alloys fitted with Continental ContiSportContact tyres
• Front and rear spoilers
• Bilstein sports suspension
• Sports leather seats
• Electric windows, mirrors and central locking
• Front fog lights
• Dansk sports exhaust system
• Service book, main key and spare keys, original manual and a large folder of history dating back to the 90s.
Further to the above I have fitted the following
• Porsche classic head unit (with phone connectivity and navigation)
• Short shifter (the original shifter is included in the sale)
• Front strut brace bar (helps reduce chassis flex)
I will also include a very high quality soft indoor cover (black with red piping and the Porsche logo).
The vehicle includes its a comprehensive history file including the original service and maintenance booklets, original tool roll and mohair hood cover.
We have also just carried out a full paint correct and detail. The paint is looking better than ever.
We will put it through the workshop and carry out a full service prior to sale.
911s in this condition aren’t always the easiest to find, I believe that my car is something better than a standard example, genuine mileage, original paint and no rust or rot. Represents an opportunity to enjoy a beautiful 911, especially with the summer coming up.
