The beautiful all-red Deluxe Pony interior with bucket seats is in excellent order throughout. A new deep pile red twist carpet has been fitted along with new kick panels, sill guards and heavy duty rubber Pony overmats. The door cards, dashboard, chrome fittings, centre console, padded sun visors and white-rim steering wheel with the low profile Rally-Pac tachometer and clock all excellent. Aftermarket water temperature, volt meter and oil pressure gauges have been fitted along with a Retro Sound in dash radio and Pioneer Speakers. This truly is a stunning and striking interior.

Exterior

Finished in factory Signal Flare Red the paintwork has a brilliant uniformed deep gloss shine throughout. All panels are perfectly straight with excellent door closures and panel fit. All external brightwork, lights, badges and fixings present beautifully, glass unmarked and quarter lights opening perfectly as they were intended.

The white power soft top operates smoothly with ease and covered with a matching tonneau cover once retracted... Wonderful

The factory Power Steering is precise and responsive, handling excellent from the Koni uprated suspension.

Engine & Transmission

Fitted with a new Ford Small Block V8 5. 8L / 351 cu. in crate engine by ATK High Performance Engines, and 4-speed automatic gearbox shipped in from the States. New Holly four barrel carburettor with low profile air cleaner, Pro-Street pulleys and aluminium race radiator.

Power is plentiful, on tap, linear and smooth, hot or cold starting is instant and she idles perfectly. The engine bay is completely detailed.

Summary

This outstanding First Generation 1966 Mustang Convertible presents beautifully throughout and has to be one of the best colour combinations. Understood to have been in long term ownership for 15 years to July 2020 by its first UK owner and only 1 further keeper since. The history file documents invoices for servicing and upgrades in excess of £7000 carried out by The Mustang Workshop, Hampshire and has covered a mere 800 miles since.
