With a heavy heart I have decided to part with my beloved and very rare “Hamish”, a 1977 Land Rover 101 Forward Control Ambulance, one of only 450 ever built for the Military.

As an ex RAF recovery vehicle Hamish spent his military life living on an RAF base in Germany. I have some interesting military history and he is officially registered as both Tax and MOT exempt.

Still bearing his original 3500 V8 Rover engine, Stainless Steel exhaust (sounds awesome!) and covering just over 77,000Km. (48120 miles)

Hamish’s main points include:

• Mechanically sound (we’ve just returned from a festival in Devon, all the way there and back to Suffolk without a hitch 😊)

• One of a kind bespoke interior fitted by myself, a carpenter, including padded crushed velvet side and roof panels, astro turf floor covering, drop down table making a very comfy 6’6” x 4’ double bed, worktops and cupboards, retro enamel sink, draining board and double burner gas hob. Onboard water storage. Thetford Porta-Potti chemical loo on heavy duty slide out tray. Radio CD player, 12v USB and power sockets. Split charge system and 120W solar panel on roof supplying 2 x 120Ah leisure batteries. LED battery monitor. Retro curtains, original ambulance shutters, plenty of onboard storage and best of all twin wine racks!
