The previous custodian to this very desirable 1966 TR4a IRS spent many ££££`s over the very many years he was the lucky owner to this fun little classic car, hence, today this car is now a good mid-point TR4a that starts and runs freely.

The previous owner, in years gone by, used this car frequently so his main objective was in keeping the car reliable.

On getting her back to the farm I just had to take her for her little hack down the lanes. To my surprise she started on the button, sounded good and drove OK with overdrive working fine in both 3rd and 4th gears.

In my opinion, the body is in fair condition for her age and there are no obvious signs of any serious visible corrosion to the upper body that I can see. Likewise, the engine seems to start and rev out easily enough, so I don`t envisage too many problems in getting her fully ready for the open roads once more.

Notwithstanding any of the above there are some body and paint imperfections that you `may` wish to attend to but in my opinion, she appears relatively solid and most definitely perfectly usable as-is (after recommissioning) unless you are of a pedantic nature and/or perfection is your desired goal.

As a heads up this unrestored Triumph TR4a is exactly that... Unrestored. The body is fine, and can most definitely be used as-is, but is definitely on the tired side, showing flat paint, pitting and some bubbling. Engine wise she starts easily enough, revs out fine and drives OK. This said, on my recent jaunt she did pop out of 2nd gear a couple of times. It may have just been me but worth mentioning.

This 1966 Triumph TR4a is up and running and if you so choose, ready for a light refurb. Once completed (to a good standard) could quite easily command a figure well in excess of £25,000+ hence making this a wonderful investment opportunity indeed.

The reserve has been set very low to aid a hassle-free sale so there is the potential for a bargain to be had if you`re forward thinking.

Please bid with confidence as we are a friendly family run business that never sets out to deliberately mislead anyone just to obtain a sale.

Thank you for bidding and hopefully good luck…
