MG Midget MkIII – Enigma Reshell - Superb Press Car

In the late 1980’s British Motor Heritage Limited had not commenced production of the MG Heritage bodyshells that were to become the route of choice for all future restorations. The only option then was to strip your existing Midget, remove all corrosion and get out your welding torch (or cheque book).

In 1990 a young entrepreneur, Eddie Physouni, beat BMH Ltd at their own game and identified a gap in the market where customers wanted to buy an “as new” MG Midget. These individuals were prepared to pay a good price to achieve this objective and Enigma Restorations was created

Milestone Classics are delighted to offer the very first Enigma Midget that Physouni built on a NOS British Leyland bodyshell that became the company promotional vehicle & demonstrator during the life of the project.

Our Midget is based on a 1974 (RWA) car finished in damask red and was built to a no expense spared factory specification at a cost in excess of £16,000. Today the Midget is a little gem with excellent panel fit & paint, no mechanical issues, superb interior and huge history file chronicling the cars unique story

On the road the MG is a delight to drive with absolutely no mechanical issues (everything was replace when the car was built in 1990) and she has been cosseted ever since. Physouni’s project failed simply because the car was four times the cost of a three year old example at the time….he was an excellent engineer but a poor business man.

Today our Enigma Midget is virtually unique and one of the best examples of the Midget marque on the market.
