This 1954 Austin A40 Somerset is ripe and ready for a light restoration after a few years in hibernation due to logistical reasons. She was in reasonably regular use before her layup and was tinkered on quite frequently by her previous enthusiast owner in his retirement.





Due to logistical reasons this car has been rarely used over the last few years. She `appears` fundamentally OK but due to us not having the time nor the facilities to fully examine this car, she is being sold as a restoration to save on any ambiguous questions/answers. Obviously in my opinion, and as alluded to above, she is far from this, and you could quite possibly have her back up and `running` within a day or two, but for clarity this is how she is being sold so please feel free to come and view/examine for yourself to ascertain just how far she potentially is from being a full restoration and that you will therefore be delighted with your purchase once collected.





As a heads-up we easily got her remotely started from under the bonnet and she sounded fine. We have a video of her running for any seriously interested party. She will still need further tinkering to be reliably started off a key. Interior tatty.





The reserve has been set very low to aid a hassle-free sale so there is the potential for a fantastic bargain to be had if you`re forward thinking.
