Alfa Romeo GTV6 2.5 – Unique Opportunity

The Alfa Romeo GTV6 was introduced in 1980, taking the Giugiaro designed Alfetta GT fastback coupe and dropping in Alfa's Busso V6 engine with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection. The car received rave reviews from the motoring press and went on to have a successful career in Touring Car racing.

Our car was built in 1982 and first registered 11th February 1983. Taken off the road in 1986 (@17,000 miles) and placed in storage until 2010.

2010/13 (3rd Owner/17,000 Miles) – Re-commissioning Work Included:
· Clutch Master Cylinder
· Prop-shaft couplings,
· Suspension bushes,
· Rear wheel bearings
· Suspension components removed, cleaned and painted.

2013/15 - Peter Smart Classic Alfas. Work Included:
· Engine removed from car/engine bay cleaned/detailed,
· Cylinder heads removed to inspect condition of pistons/liners,
· Timing belt replaced and converted to mechanical belt tensioner
· Engine oil and filter, new air filter, new spark plugs, all fluids renewed
· Gearbox mounts replaced, new battery fitted,
· Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder replaced, brake pads replaced together with brake hoses and calliper seals as required,
· Alloy wheels refurbished and new Toyo Proxy tyres (x5)
· Full glass and interior out respray in original Alfa Grigio Chiaro AR748 (full photographic record available).


2015/18 (4th Owner/18,000 Miles) - Works carried out by Peter Smart;
· Front brake discs and nearside rear brake caliper fitted,
· Fuel pump,
· Rear exhaust section,
· Regular servicing and MOTs.

This GTV is a true ‘Time Warp’ car in superb overall condition and just 22,000 miles from new. There is no corrosion and paint and panel fit is superb. The interior is unmarked and the car still retains original dealer plates, rear screen sticker and tax disc holder. The history folder includes DVD of work in 2015, hand books, MOT’s and invoices since the car came out of storage

On the road the Alfa drives as good as she looks with performance and handling that shames most modern cars and superb V6 soundtrack
