Black with Red leather, A genuine Speed Model Tourer Lagonda first registered on the 17th January 1930, GC 3620 has a fascinating provenance and was believed to be used as a reserve car for Team Lagonda at the 1929 24 Hours of Le Mans. In October 1950 the Lagonda went into the ownership of Airship Captain J.A Beckford Hall of Hollingbourne Manor, Kent. In January 1954 Inventor and car collector Russell Winn of Kilbrittain Castle, County Cork purchased GC 3620 and owned the car for some 29 years, the last owner acquired the Lagonda from the deceased Estate of Mr Winn via the Sotheby’s Sale held at Kilbrittain Castle in September 1983. A nut & bolt photographic restoration was completed in 2003 by renowned Lagonda specialist John Scholey who had worked for Lagonda pre-war including with the Works Team at Le Mans and owner of Lagonda specialist Martins Garage in Guildford using renown specialists such as Taylors Rolls Royce & Bentley for the body, John Batt for the engine rebuild and Mike Thomas Coach trimming for the fabric body covering/interior trim/hood & side screens. GC 3620 is complete with a fascinating comprehensive provenance including an Original Instruction Manual, VSCC “Buff Form” and MSA Club Technical Passport, Well known to the Lagonda Owners Club and a regular feature in the club's magazine. This delightful Lagonda has formed part of a private collection for the past 39 years and has enjoyed many trips within the Continent & the UK proving its usability & reliability. Much recent expenditure making this particular example ready for immediate pre-war motoring.
