As you can no doubt see from the photos above, this Mercedes 500 SEC Coupe looks absolutely stunning in arguably the best retro looking colour scheme for this model to come out of the 80`s – Gold with the Beige/Cream leather interior… An increasingly rare colour combination for this model… A pleasant change from the customary colour schemes you see on the market…

The shape of these classic iconic Mercedes Coupes is still an absolute beauty to the eye and is guaranteed to turn heads wherever they go.

These models are now exchanging hands anywhere between £10,000 all the way up to around £25,000+…!!! If you don`t believe me then do a Google search yourself. Or just look on the various specialist websites dotted around.

This beautiful car has seen very little use of late due to the previous owner having more than one classic Mercedes, hence why one or two had to go. Luckily for us, I persuaded him to sell me this one, which in turn will be sold to the lucky highest bidder who I`m sure will be totally delighted with their purchase.

On arrival to the farm, I eagerly started her up (first tun of the key) and took her for a little hack down the local country lanes. Considering her time spent unused she seemingly still performed very well indeed with no funny noises coming from the engine or transmission.

Bodywork wise she still looks fundamentally solid to the whole upper side. Without access to any ramps examination to the underside is limited but from what I could see at ground level she appeared all reasonably solid under there.

The interior, likewise, also matches the exterior and is still in particularly good condition without being perfect and is most definitely still a wonderful place to be. The headlining could do with some slight attention.

I would summarise by saying this car still looks solid, stylish and cool, starts on the button and runs and drives fine. There are some minor body and paint imperfections, and if you`re after a trailer queen then you may wish to attend to these to perfect her, but if like me you prefer classic cars in their natural beautiful state, then she is definitely more than usable (proudly) as-is after the advisory long-term layup recommissioning.

Due to long term storage, she currently has no MOT. I can see no obvious reason(s) why she would not pass a new MOT test, but just to cover myself I am willing to put a new/full 12 month`s MOT on her for just £350 above the final bid price. Obviously, if you decided to run her through yourself, and she passed first time, then your cost would be considerably lower @ £40, but £350 is my offer price regardless.

This, I feel, is a perfect opportunity and time for someone to buy one of these wonderful Flagship Mercedes 500 secs at what can only be considered as a once in a lifetime ridiculously low price, especially considering what has been done to this particular car and that top-end cars are currently being advertised for as much as £50.000+…!!! A small amount of TLC will make this car worth considerably more.
