1971 TRIDENT 3 litre V6 VENTURER fixed head coupe GOODWOOD READY
Finished in black pearl with black trim with 37000 miles. Trident were a small manufacturing Company based in Ipswich, Suffolk from 1969-74 who made circa 130 cars but only 84 Venturer’s were manufactured worldwide. The Italian designed bodywork was by the famous Trevor Fiore and cost over £3500 incl purchase tax in 1971 – a high price in those days. Fitted with a Ford 3 litre V6 Cologne Essex 150bhp engine, a lengthened TR6 chassis and fitted with an independent Koni adjustable suspension. Few models were made with this optional Ford V6 engine, capable of 120 mph in its day and a standard Trident still holds the British production car record at Santa Pod to this day! It is capable of reaching 0-60 7.5secs – a very fast time for a 1971 car, offering superb performance with economy. The supplying dealer was Bill Last of W J Last, Woodbridge near Ipswich, Suffolk.
