This Austin 8 was with its previous custodian for many years. It used to be used regularly but as per the photos it has not been used for many years but just sitting idle in his safe storage.

From a quick unqualified inspection via my good self I would say she appears relatively solid and predominately all there. The previous owner informed me before going into storage she was gifted with a reconditioned engine and a reconditioned front and rear axle. Apparently these have done zero miles since being installed. Looking at the wiring I would say this will require attention, which on such a simple basic car of the era I don`t envisage this being too difficult a task.

A local mechanic friend of mine got her started for me using EasyStart alone. He said it sounded fine and when set-up/connected up properly the engine should be fine but please feel free to come and check for yourself before bidding as I (unfortunately) do not possess his mechanical knowledge.

As far as description is concerned I am not going to mess around by trying to describe every single nut and bolt to cater for the pedantic natured amongst us, so to save on any ambiguous descriptions/questions/answers I`m just going to describe this car as requiring a full restoration and anything else is to your advantage.

This car was sold to us as all parts included and she most definitely appears complete but due to the time they normally spend in storage, take this as what you see in the pictures is what you get. Anything of importance that could be considered a deal-breaker please feel free to ask us to check for you `BEFORE` bidding.

V5 is to be applied for.
