This stunningly beautiful and incredibly rare 1971 Porsche 911E (RHD) Coupe is one of only a very few remaining between our shores.

90% of the examples you will see advertised on the open market are either LHD and/or in Targa format. Arguably neither would suit our British climates or country roads unless you`re of the risk-taking nature.

Pre-impact bumper 911 RHD Coupes such as this are incredibly difficult to find, especially in this updated format, as in colour, wheels, engine trim, etc. The last one I saw similar to this was asking well over £40,000…!!! But in contrast, if you ever decided to return and restore this vehicle back to its original 1971 long-bonnet factory spec it could quite easily topple the £100,000 mark as there have been plenty on the market that has demanded these kind of figures, that I can assure you.

Investors are sussing on to these opportunities, hence prices are on a very steep incline and current prices of these RHD models are anywhere between £50,000 going all the way up to £100,000+ for good examples. Top examples would exceed £140,000…!!!

This particular vehicle had been owned by its previous custodian for some 16+ years but had hardly been used at all in all that time hence the reason he decided to sell.

Just prior to his ownership (Circa. 1997) a report was conducted by the well renown and respected Porsche Specialist, Club Autosport Ltd of Halesowen (who I am lead to believe was who conducted the original transformation) and this is what they wrote and said:

Report on 1971 Porsche 911E Coupe
We have inspected the above vehicle which has been updated from a 1971 car using original Porsche parts to the following specification:-

Bodywork
Original bodywork fitted with C2-4 full turbo body kit, totally prepared and resprayed in Guards Red. New lights front and rear to C2-4 specification.

Wheels
Fitted 17” Cup alloys, front 7 1/2J with 215/45/17 Fulda tyres. Rear 9”J with 255/40/17 Fulda Tyres.

Brakes
911 Carrera front and rear discs fitted with 911 Carrera servo unit and master cylinder.

Electrics
Extensive rewiring, with electrically operated seats, windows and mirrors.

Interior
Fitted with 1989 C2 Turbo trim, all white leather and sports seats. New white leather headlining and side panels. Refitted dash fascia. New Porsche black carpets and specialist over-mats.

Alarm
Foxguard category 1 alarm/immobiliser, fully remote system with interior sensors.

Music
Fitted Sony stereo/radio, single play CD system, 4 speakers.

Engine & Gearbox
Fitted 1983 3.0L SC with matching 5 speed gearbox in excellent running condition.
The car is now in outstanding condition.

As you can see from the report above there was an immense amount of money and time spent on this vehicle in making her what you see her as today. Apart from the absence of the Sony Stereo and alarm I can see no other obvious absentees from the specification listed above. This said, I am no expert so please come and check for yourself if any item is a deal-breaker. Likewise the history and the originality of the car as I have no correspondence as to what exact specification she left the factory in. If any of this matters to you then please do your checks beforehand.

This car has been in storage for quite a few years now and as you can imagine will now need some TLC and recommissioning. So for this reason, and the fact I am neither a mechanic or panel beater, I am selling this car as a full restoration to save on any ambiguous questions/answers/descriptions come the time to complete on the deal. Obviously neither the photos nor my own personal thoughts imply this is the case, but for the purpose of this sale this is how she is being sold. To be honest, with most classic cars no longer requiring an annual MoT test (including this one) this is the ONLY way I would sell her.

Notwithstanding any of the above, I would say the upper body looks fine with just some localised bubbling and imperfections here and there. From what I can see of the underneath she looks fundamentally solid with perhaps just some expected service rust. The engine starts and runs but obviously not as cleanly or sweetly as she did when she was put away. These are just my own unqualified observations, so as mentioned before, if ANYTHING is a potential deal-breaker then please do come and examine for yourself as I am not trying to hide anything.

So in summary this is a perfect opportunity to buy one of these rare and wonderful little early Porsche 911`s requiring some general TLC and recommissioning at what can only be described as a once in a lifetime ridiculously low price, especially considering similar top-end model cars are currently being advertised for as much as £140.000+…!!!

Although I am not prepared to disclose it I am very keen to sell, hence I have set a very realistic and easily achievable reserve.

If you have a genuine interest/offer, and you are prepared to back it up, then I`m sure it could be accommodated between you, myself and eBay, but please do NOT ask me to give you a BIN price as your message will be politely ignored…

I would say this is a one-off opportunity to buy one at this price so please don`t miss out by pondering – life`s way too short...:-)

Good luck and thank you for looking…

Due to previous long-term storage I would strongly suggest a good going over and check of all vulnerable parts/items before returning her back to the open roads again. It is still for you to come and check all items and condition for yourself as all our cars are sold as seen, unchecked and unverified.
I hope I have covered most things but please feel free to ask as many questions as you like, as one would expect this on a car such as this.

Thank you…
