1988 FERRARI 328 GTS (lhd) Targa top
Designed by the celebrated Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and splendidly finished in Ferrari Rosso red with beige leather trim and only 43000 miles covered. This marque was made famous by actor Tom Selleck in Magnum in the 80s Hawaii based TV series Magnum P.I. Featuring a V8 cylinder engine; 270 bhp 3185cc, top speed 163mph. The Ferrari 308 GTB was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 and some 10 years later was given a performance boost and the 328GTB and 328 GTS were born. Changes to this two seat, mid engine Targa included bumper body-coloured and the grille brought forward to soften the angularity of the 308. The distinctive side ducts and the covered headlights of the true 1980s icon were retained. Only 1548 were made worldwide and this model is considered by enthusiasts to be one of the most reliable and functional Ferraris ever made. This car was sold new in USA in 1988 to the first owner then sold in 1997 to the second owner in USA who sold it to its third owner in 2015. The third owner took the car to Guernsey in the Channel Islands.
