Description

This right hand drive saloon is in its original black colour with original green interior trim.
Built in Abingdon on the 13th November 1952, this Riley seems a pretty solid, unmolested classic in need of restoration.
It has clearly been in dry storage for many many years and isn't currently registered with the DVLA.
With the classic are several tax discs dating from November 1952, when new, to September 1970 when it is understood to be last used.
It is understood that the car was off the road from 1966-1970, then used for a year until it was then laid up again until purchased by the former keeper in 1979.
The Riley remained unused in this ownership and continued to be dry stored until 1990. Upon the owners death it was purchased by a local garage owner where it continued its storage.
The RME was then passed on to the garage owners brother whose widow sold back to the brother of the original 1979 owner.
The RME comes with its starting handle, jack and spare wheel.
