Ford Escort Mk1 Mexico replica. Stunning well sorted car which has had fortunes spent. Comes with lots of history, full years mot and is on the button ready to drive away. Needs nothing doing.

Body - Started life as a base model. Has mexico wings fitted. Panel gaps are good, doors fit properly. Paintwork is lovely. Mexico decal kit fitted. Underneath the shell is solid having only ever had a few minor repairs in boot wells and front floors over the years. Overall a pretty original shell. Car has had all the underseal removed at some point and tinted raptor put on.

Mechanics - 1700 Crossflow, big valve head, A3 cam, high comp pistions, Twin 40 webers, ashley exhaust, lightened flywheel, oil coller, alloy radiator, type 9 5 speed box, rs rear axle with 3.54 diff, Rally design front coilovers with willwood brakes, remote brake servo, Burton rocker cover. Gaz gold rear shocks, single leaf rear springs. Capri fuel tank. New track control arms, track rod ends, bushes, cables etc. Car drives very well and runs as good cold as it is hot. No spitting back from webbers or flat spots. No rattles clunks or vibrations. Its a very well sorted little car.

Interior - 6 dial dash fitted and all working properly. springalex deep dish steering wheel. Recaro seats retrimmed to match mexico rear seats. These are lovely. Good door cards carpet and headlining . Very tidy car inside which needs nothing doing

Wheels - Proper Mk1 RS 5.5 inch RS Alloys with Yokohama tyres. Polished with correct centre caps.

This is a cracking little car which drives superb. I drive a lot of escorts and its rare that you get one that needs nothing doing. This is on the button and ready to go. I doubt these days that you could source as good a shell and build this car with all the bits on it for the asking price.
