Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer a very special 911Targa. The Porsche company had managed to produce 250,000 911’s in 25 years, so decided to celebrate the milestone by producing a limited run of cars known as the Commemorative or Jubilee edition cars. In total just 875 cars were produced in Coupe, Cabriolet and Targa form. All the cars featured the stunning Diamond blue metallic paint and were filled with an extensive list of standard features that were not available in non-anniversary cars. These options included a powered passenger seat, central locking capabilities, and a more extensive windscreen washing system. The interior was presented in Diamond silver with blue crushed-effect leather and the seats featured Ferry Porsche’s signature embossed in the headrest.

In 1987 the Carrera range was facelifted and revised. Many of the changes over the previous iteration of the Carrera helped to greatly improve the car and the driving experience. But there was no doubting that the most significant change was the introduction of the Getrag G50 gearbox. Along with the introduction of a hydraulic rather than cable operated clutch, this dramatically enhanced the shift quality and the driving experience. The car was powered by an air-cooled 3.2 litre engine that produced 231bhp.

Our car is presented in immaculate condition. German-supplied in July 1988, a fantastic Porsche history file, this represents a fantastic opportunity for the enthusiast to own an iconic piece of Porsche history. Serviced by Porsche Centre St. Moritz in 2018, the car is available for immediate viewing at our London showroom.
